Leadership series
To introduce you to the key concepts and approaches of business ecology, we have developed three half-day seminars focusing on specific issues and one full day seminar which gathers all these issues together....flexible choices to match your schedule.

Seminar 1: You have a winning ream - change it
Applies insights from business psychology and the S-curve to topics as diverse as the dangers of success; strategic diversity; the shape of change and the basic evolutionary drives which shape performance.

Seminar 2: You want to mane change - you can't

Looks at business ecology lessons for leaders, introducing core concepts such as: the importance of values; consistency; feedforward and feedback; self organisation and complex change.

Seminar 3: You need innovation - create stability
Looks at attitudes to change and how this impacts on leadership behaviour.

One Day Seminar: Leading through complexity
A focused introduction to the core concepts of S-curve thinking, evolutionary thinking, cybernetics, complexity and chaos theories and their value in tackling the hardest challenges leaders face.

This intensive one day programme will look at four aspects of business leadership:

Learning from nature.  We see cycles of growth and decay - S-curves - all around us.  "For companies focused on organic growth, failure - in reasonable proportion to success - is a sign of health" Robert Greifeld, President and CEO of NASDAQ, Harvard Business Review, Jul-Aug 2004

Putting the diverse into diversity.  Studying group behaviour helps us to understand our teams and how best to build cross-functional teams for different parts of the business cycle.

Thriving on Chaos.  "Values were central at Southwest Airlines, but they just happened."  Ann Rhodes, former EVP of Human Resources at the US's most successful airline.  Do things "just happen" - or does leadership help?

Practical applications.  Case studies of successful businesses from Europe to Asia-Pacific, from financial services to pharmaceuticals.  Plus clear links to the fields of corporate social responsibility and business ethics.
